How the service works
Start by filling out the form on “Create an account”. Confirmation will arrive via an email once the company has gone over all you information.
Now you can book you first babysitting session by clicking “Book a sitter” you will be sent a confirmation email containing information about your babysitter for the session. Booking fee is paid.
The babysitter will be in contact via phone 24 hours before the session.
The babysitter is paid on location with cash or via wired transaction at the end of the session.
How the service works
It is necessary to sign up/apply for an account on our website www.babysitting.is under “Create an account.” There you fill out a detailed form that is important for the company as a reference when finding the perfect babysitter for you. Once the company has reviewed and approved your application you will get a confirmation e-mail from us. Here you can also ask for a phone call if there is information which needs extra attention.
After the company has confirmed your application via e-mail you can book your first babysitting session. This is done by clicking the “Book a sitter” tab where you will have to fill in basics such as your name and social security number, the date on which the service is requested with the start and finish time. The booking is confirmed with an e-mail from us where the details about the sitter will be provided. After the booking has been confirmed via e-mail a bill will be sent with a booking charge (see more under “fees” below) which will appear in your home bank or via a link which takes you to a secure payment site, depending on your preferences.
The babysitter will then contact you via phone around 24 hours before the babysitting takes place to confirm the time and location, which also gives you a chance to give the sitter any further information if needed.
We recommend getting the babysitter at least 30 minutes before you leave the house. By doing so you give the sitter a chance to get to know your children in your presence, which will give your children more confidence in the situation.
We try to primarily send the same sitter each time with frequent bookings to maintain consistency in our service. If you need a babysitter more than twice a month, it is a good idea to introduce the child/children to two sitters who can come interchangeably.
